EDM Hole Drilling

Our EDM Drill (Hole Popper) has the ability to produce deep, small diameter, burr-free holes in both hardened and difficult to machine materials such as: tool steel, tungsten, titanium, stainless steel, etc. It is used when drilling by conventional methods is difficult or impossible.

Work is done on our Methods HoleMaster HM400S high speed hole popper.

• 16” X 16” X 12” Travels
• .010” to .265” Diameter Holes
• 12” Maximum Workpiece Height
• 850# Maximum Workpiece Weight

EDM Drilling applications include:

• Wire EDM start holes
• Oil passage holes
• Vent holes
• Core Pin / Ejector Pin holes
• Removing broken drills and taps

Our Fast Hole Drill complements our wire EDM’s by giving us the option to put wire start holes in hardened material. This can reduce material prep time for faster turn around.
